My Favorite Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies


Hey there! Today I'd like to share with you my recipe for these melt in your mouth vegan chocolate chip cookies. A few years ago, I perfected a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, but it included dairy and eggs. Today, I present to you an altered version of chocolate chip cookies that gives you the same satisfaction! (Enough of me talking about myself, may I present to you... Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies!)

 

Chocolate Chip Recipe



Ingredients


1 ½ cups all-purpose flour


½ cup white sugar


½ cup brown sugar


½ cup vegan butter substitute


¼ tsp salt


1 tsp vanilla extract


½ tsp baking soda


1 tsp hot water


1 cup vegan semi-sweet chocolate chips




Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Cream the vegan butter and both sugars together until it’s smooth

  3. Stir in the vanilla extract

  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve the baking soda in the hot water and add it to the batter

  5. Add in the salt

  6. Mix in the flour and chocolate chips ( keep stirring , mixing ,and kneading it until it becomes doughy)

  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking tray

  8. Bake for 10 min or until edges are golden brown

  9. Make sure to set the cookies to cool for a few minutes

The last step is indeed important. If the cookies are soft and flimsy when they come out of the oven, but they slide right off the parchment paper and have golden brown edges, they are not undercooked- let them cool.

After a few minutes you can enjoy them! If you put them in the oven for too long, they can become too hard.
